Notes:

We continue our “Misrepresented” series by diving into the band Extreme and their (year) hit “More Than Words.” It’s a number 1 hit, from a band whose style is not accurately reflected in the song. We play some of their other songs to prove our point.

I was reminded of your Van Halen week shows, of course, by this show.

When I was listening to that week, I was struck by your description of VH, hotshot innovative guitarist, compelling front man, great harmonies, the ability to change styles without losing their footing. and I was reminded of perhaps, a strange comparison, Queen. Both bands had a special magic that they haven’t quite been able to recreate without their orignal line-ups.

Brian May even collaborated with Eddie Van Halen at one time, IIRC.

So my request is to please do a week on Queen’s first five albums.
