  • Jayhawks “Bad Time” Tomorrow the Green Grass (American) 1995

Notes:

To kick off the last day of ‘Song of the Day’ week, Jim and Patrick prepare to go on vacation by closing the week with two great songs. Don’t worry though, we have a very special guest covering for us next week!

FUN FACT: In an interview with The Guardian, guitarist Garba Touré said that Songhoy Blues formed after an Islamist group took over his town in Africa. “They ordered people to stop smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol and playing music,” Touré recalled. “We wanted to recreate that lost ambience of the north and make all the refugees relive those northern songs.”
