Notes:

Listener Gerald Chyzenski sends us his favorite music, straight from the suburbs of Toronto. Tracks in today’s episode by Valerie June and Barns Courtney.

FUN FACT: After performing in several bands, Barns Courtney wanted to pursue a career as a solo artist. After producing music that could have made up around five albums, he was dropped by his label, Island Records. Despite this setback, Courtney never lost his drive; working, and sleeping, wherever he could. Eventually, one of his songs ended up being used in the 2015 film ‘Burnt.’
