Music:

  • Public Enemy “Fight The Power” Fear of a Black Planet (Def Jam, Columbia) 1990

Notes:

“The music industry is standing in solidarity with those calling for change in the wake of the tragic death of George Floyd.

This is Black Out Tuesday, a day for reflection and action.

In our little corner of the world, we marvel at the incalculable impact African Americans have made to our music and our culture.

America, and humankind, are better for their contributions But it’s painfully obvious that our nation needs to do better.

Take a moment today to consider how you might make your voice heard.

We’ll talk to you tomorrow.” – JL & PF
