Notes:

We have a very special episode for you all today. For the next three days, we have the pleasure of speaking with Matthew Sweet. His career has spanned nearly four decades, being a member of such bands like Community Trolls, Oh-OK and theThe Thorns. He is also a solo artist that has collaborated with Bangles co-founder Susanna Hoffs (“Under the Covers”).

One of our listeners described him as “power pop royalty.”

His music has been heard in the TV shows ‘Baywatch,’ ‘Beavis and Butthead,’ ‘Scrubs’ and ‘The Simpsons’ to name a few. He has also been heard in films such as the Austin Powers franchise, and ‘Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.’

At one point, you may have even jammed out to his music in Guitar Hero: II in 2006!
