In the fall of 1969, Rolling Stone magazine published a review of an album that didn’t exist. This fictional supergroup, featuring supposedly disguised icons like Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, and John Lennon, was intended as a sharp parody of the era’s bloated rock-and-roll hype.

However, the satirical joke completely backfired when gullible fans and frantic record executives began desperately searching for copies of the mythical LP. It set in motion a chain of events that led to one of the most unusual records in modern history.
