Episode 93: Overplayed songs (‘Freee Birrddd!’)

May 17, 2017

  • B-52s “Party Out of Bounds” Wild Planet (Warner Bros.) 1980
  • Men Without Hats “Pop Goes the World” Pop Goes the World (Mercury) 1987

Here’s a really interesting piece of the history of yelling “Free Bird” at concerts.

You know who liked Yes a lot? Bob Stinson from the Replacements like Yes a lot. His legacy still looms large over the band.

There are so many overplayed songs, songs that are overplayed, but may be, you know, great songs. What are yours? Let us know, below.
