Notes:

In late summer of 2002, Warren Zevon finds himself experiencing shortness of breath. He visits a dentist, who tells Zevon that he has mesothelioma and that he only has months to live.

Seeing that his time is short, Zevon works on one last album while asking his manager to capitalize on his illness to try and boost the popularity of the record. The Wind comes out two weeks before Zevon passes in 2003, and was nominated for 5 Grammy Awards; securing two wins from those nominations.

Special thanks to Hunter Bennett for putting together an amazing series of episodes on the history of Warren Zevon!
